Year after year, a large number of aspirants strive for limited spots. To begin your journey, you must complete the application process. Here’s a thorough guide to help you apply effortlessly.

Step 1: Visit the Official Website

To kickstart the process, visit the BPSC portal: www.bpsc.gov.bd. This is the only portal for BCS exam announcements and applications. Keep away from unofficial websites.

Step 2: Download the Circular

Look for the latest BCS exam circular under the “Notices”. The circular shares all essential information, such as candidate prerequisites, application deadlines, examination syllabus, and other critical instructions.

Step 3: Check Eligibility

Study the requirements, which include age limits, educational qualifications, and citizenship requirements. The usual age limit is 21–30 years for general candidates, but adjustments are offered for specific groups such as freedom fighters’ heirs or disabled individuals.

Step 4: Register Online

Navigate to the BCS Online Application Form (Form 1). Provide all essential fields, such as personal details, academic qualifications, and job preferences. Verify for any mistakes. Providing false information can lead to dismissal.

Step 5: Upload Documents

You must upload a fresh copyright-sized photograph (300x300 pixels, file size below 100KB) and your signature (dimension of 300x80 pixels, file size below 60 kilobytes). Confirm these are as per the guidelines mentioned in the circular.

Step 6: Pay the Application Fee

After uploading your application, you will obtain a User ID. Use this ID to transfer the application fee through Teletalk SMS services. The fee is usually 700 taka for general candidates and Tk. 100 for others. Follow the procedure provided in the circular.

Step 7: Confirm Submission

Once the fee is paid, you will get a confirmation SMS with a payment reference ID. Keep this ID for future reference. Log back into the application portal to confirm the payment status.

Final Tips

Submit your application well before the deadline to stay away from last-minute errors.

Print a copy of the final application form for future use, such as for getting the admit card.

By sticking to these guidelines, you can complete your application for the BCS exam and take a step closer your ambition in the Bangladesh Civil Service. Wishing you success!
